VIRTUAL Coffee Meet Up
Time & Location
About the Event
In the face of uncertainty, there are plenty of ways to mentally prepare the feelings of loneliness and anxiety. The after effects of this pandemic will linger way pass when it is over. Remember that there are ways to psychologically distance yourself from things that are beyond your control, and be grateful for the things you have. Some tips to share:
1) Leverage technology! You should feel greatly BLESSED that we have tech like Zoom Video Communications, Amazon, Uber Eats, and Netflix at our disposal. We have never been more digitally connected. While technology has been seen as an unnecessary evil that comes between human interaction, now is the time to tap in to all these resources for your benefit.
2) Be social virtually: casual happy hours or coffee breaks can still happen. We’ve started to do a virtual happy hour every Friday for whoever can join and it’s been fun to see those in their natural habitat.
3) Get aligned: Be clear in your intentions and set clear goals and timeline with your business partners. This helps with accountability and trust while operating apart. Also, continuously share common goals to remind everyone of the larger picture.
4) Consider others: 80% of the time we get ques through body language. When apart, both parties are missing a TON of information. Take the extra step to inquire more, assume less.
Taking this time to virtually connect with our guests and hear about your perspective on this new normal and how we can bring positively to our community.
