From coffee shops to retail, it's no surprise that businesses play a key role in leading the charge for sustainability and eco-friendly practices. But how do you balance taking care of the planet and people while also making a profit? Cohosted by Tenfold Coffee Company and Refinement House, we invite you to join us for a conversation with a few local Houston business owners who are also trying to balance a triple bottom line - people, planet, and profit.

This event is cohosted by Tenfold Coffee Company and Refinement House.

Tenfold Coffee Company was founded by Jacob Ibarra, a native Houstonian who built a career in coffee for 15 years in Seattle and Melbourne before returning to his hometown to open Tenfold. After his travels around the world sourcing coffee from various farms, Jacob was challenged to find ways to create a better, more sustainable coffee supply chain that not only delivered a beautiful cup of coffee on the cafe side, but also ensured that the people and planet were taken care of on the producer side.

Refinement House is the brainchild of Wenting Xie and is Houston's first bulk and eco-conscious refill station. Within their thoughtfully curated eco home, everything produces little to zero waste. The purpose is to offer their guests a sustainable alternative to what they would normally purchase. Refinement House hopes to influence a lifestyle, complete with movement and colors, that fuels the soul without harming the planet.
